A group known as Transparency Initiative based in Abuja has petitioned the EFCC over the prolonged delay in trial of former Abia governor Orji Uzor Kalu. Kalu is standing trial for looting over 4billion Naira from Abia treasury. The group at a conference in Abuja said it has to take this action as the case of OUK seems to be buried.
According to Transparency Initiative other former governors who are standing trial have been going for their cases except OUK. The group insisted the Abians must be told how their money was spent and not Kalu telling the world that he is being witch hunted. Kalu looted Abia treasury and its annoying seeing him talking against corruption, the group added.
It urged EFCC to resume Kalu's trial as the world is watching
